He also speaks with safety Trey Marshall, one of the big winners of the team's draft, considering they selected no one who plays his position. Marshall should slot in as the team's third safety and fill the hole vacated by Will Parks, who left in free agency for the Eagles.

Game recap | Broncos beat Lions, 27-17

December 23, 2019

Mike Klis, Rod Mackey and Chad Brown sit down to hash out the Broncos' win over the Lions.

Drew Lock had finished his splendid, mistake-free performance that carried the Broncos past the hapless, if gritty Detroit Lions, 27-17, in Denver on Sunday and after speaking in a low audible voice at his press conference, and after he had showered and dressed he was packing up his backpack.

The last thing he put into his side pocket was a big ol' bottle of Nyquil.

"The reason why I'm talking like this,'' he said in a barely audible voice at his locker, "is because I had to take meds just so I could yell the plays in practice during the week.''

Game recap | Chiefs beat Broncos, 23-3

December 16, 2019

Mike Klis, Rod Mackey and Chad Brown sit down to hash out the Broncos' snowy loss to the Chiefs.

The Chiefs whipped the Broncos, 23-3 as Kansas City's superb quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw the ball with surprising ease against the slippery-footed Denver secondary.

"You would expect with a snow game, windy, they’re going to start running,'' said Broncos inside linebacker  Alexander Johnson. "No, they sure enough came out throwing and slingin' it around. That was definitely a shocker.”
